The hotel, in both the common areas and rooms, is beautiful. That is where my praise ends, unfortunately. There is no parking associated with the hotel, and the Robo Park next door, which I used, can have long waits. I had contacted Riu to inquire about parking options, but received no response. The hotel, in both the common areas and rooms, is beautiful. That is where my praise ends, unfortunately. There is no parking associated with the hotel, and the Robo Park next door, which I used, can have long waits. I had contacted Riu to inquire about parking options, but received no response. Check-in took much longer than usual, and this hotel requires all room occupants to provide identification, a requirement I've never encountered in any other hotel. The biggest problem is the elevators - they are simply inadequate for this size hotel, particularly during breakfast time. We had long waits and cramped elevator rides throughout our stay. To get to breakfast requires you to travel to the lobby, enter another queue, and then into an elevator dedicated to shuttling guests to the restaurant on the fifth floor - far from an ideal situation. The room itself was small, but perhaps average for NYC standards. The two queen beds are literally pushed together, without any space between them, and the distance from foot of bed to wall was perhaps 2 feet. Just cramped. I think there are better options and will not plan to return. Read less

Third time staying at this great hotel. Once you enter the hotel the beautiful smell hits you. Love it. Wanted to purchase the fragrance but unluckily it was sold out!! Fabulous friendly staff, very clean and spacious rooms with great city views. Will definitely be returning for our 4th visit. Thank you for having us.

It was in an ideal location and we would definitely stay here again if we ever come back. We had a room with a view (47th floor), and the view was spectacular. I definitely recommend. We never had an issue with the lifts at any time of the day. We were able to check in and go straight to our room at 1:30 even though check in wasn’t supposed to be until 3. We also were able to leave our luggage at the hotel on check out day so we could go out and explore. All of the staff were very friendly. Thank you for an amazing stay, we hope to be back! Read less

We had the best room! Our view was spectacular we could see some of Times Square and cool rooftops. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The location is a block from Times Square. It was the perfect place to stay for a long weekend in Manhattan. We will be back.

Whilst conveniently placed in Time Square, the one thing letting down this hotel is the long wait for lifts, especially during the morning. You have to get a lift down to lobby to then get a lift back to the restaurant on level 5 for breakfast m. We queued on level 8 for more than 20 minutes only to see 3 lift cars stop, all of which were full from higher floor levels. Managed to squeeze my daughter into one lift and had to then take stairs down 8 flights leading to outside and come back in through main lobby. My daughter had already started to queue in the lobby to catch lift to level 5 restaurant, queue was nearly out the door!! I jumped the queue to join my daughter only to be rudely told to get to the back of the line and that my daughter would have to have breakfast alone on join me at the back!. Then when you get to level 5 restaurant you have to queue again. It took nearly one hour to get from my room on level 8 to the restaurant on level 5! Once seated we were rushed by staff to finish breakfast. I have been in larger hotels with same number of lifts and never experienced such a disaster of a system. Avoid or book room only! Read less
