A comfortable and very busy hotel. The beds were soft yet firm, good for my old back so I did not have to use the Temperpedic topper I brought along just in case. Very hard to get maintenance for the room. One light out in the bathroom and the one outlet on one the side of the bed was loose from the wall and plugs also fell out easily. … Read more

Very hard to get maintenance for the room. One light out in the bathroom and the one outlet on one the side of the bed was loose from the wall and plugs also fell out easily. Breakfast was very pricey and they moved you along constantly. Walk one block to the Westway Diner (a Seinfeld favorite) for a much tastier and better deal. Read less

Very nice comfortable and clean hotel. Room spacious and with great view of Empire State Building . Iv recently come home after spending 5 nights in New York 30th November till 5th December. The location of the hotel is brilliant. We didn’t eat in the hotel as there are plenty of restaurants near by . We did use our free ticket to visit the national American museum which was by Central Park . To arrange the ticket was very easy and quick at the hotel . Also we enquired and bought tickets for the Woodbury common out let . The bus terminal is just across the road so very easy to get to . Staff are happy to help with you luggage and will take it up to your room on arrival. Would definitely return to this hotel again in the future . Some of the reviews did seem mixed but it didn’t put me off and had none of the issues . There is also a free safe in the room easy to use . We enjoyed our trip to New York to begin our Christmas seeing all the lights Would recommend seeing the Rocketts show and also Dyker Heights lights tour it was fab !!. Read less

What comes to mind when you think of a hotel in Times Square? Chic, convenient, exciting? The Westin has it all. Being theater the main reason for our trip, the location is insuperable: you’ll get to your show on time… in spite of the savage crowd around TS. We’ve been looking for a place in NYC to be our go-to hotel; I think we found it. One… Read more

I’m a gold elite member at Marriott Bonvoy and booked three nights for my wife and myself using 296,000 points plus taxes etc. Don’t know if this is a New York experience thing or what, but the most of the staff at the hotel were unresponsive to my requests. For example when we checked in we stood in the elite member line and were basically ignored for 5 minutes while the two staff members manning the check in dealt with the man in front of us. We had reserved a deluxe king room. We got a king room but it was far from being deluxe. Room is best described as tired and long overdue refurbishing. The room needed an in-depth cleaning. The tiled entry and bathroom looked dirty and was covered in unknown white bits that could be scrapped off. I informed the front desk of this and asked that the floor be mopped. This didn’t happen. The paint on the door frame to the bathroom was chipped and peeling off in places. The spaces by the cupboard containing what used to be the mini bar fridge had lots of bits and dust bunnies. The carpet in the bedroom was stained in places. On a positive note the bed and pillows were very comfortable and the bedding was nice and crisp and clean. Breakfast at the Foundry restaurant was good although on one morning was just lukewarm. However, the hostess and serving staff were attentive and pleasant. Read less

The staff was very kind, and the bellhop was quick to assist with our luggage upon arrival and departure. Check-in/check out was painless, as was picking up a package at the in-house FEDEX. The rooms were a bit small/out-dated, but comfortable enough for sleeping and quick rest breaks. The hallways leading to the rooms can be a bit maze-like so definitely remember the path. The only negative would be the bathroom shower/tub combo. The tub portion wouldn’t shift completely to the shower head and kept pushing it the plunger down (who really wants to deal with a filling tub while showering?). This hotel is a perfect mid-tier for NYC. Read less
