The Indigo chain is pretty charming. Quirky design choices, but good size lobby with a restaurant/bar on site. Food was acceptable and we ate breakfast there as we had a daily food and wine credit. Cappuccino machine was broken the entire four days. Rooms were clean as were hallways and public areas. Be sure to get a room facing the pool or a side street - the main Street is VERY noisy and the hotel has earplugs in the room, always a bad sign that the noise comes through the windows. BTW, it was cold in Austin and we would have loved to open the windows a bit for fresh air but they were sealed shut. AC was very noisy and very spotty so we were uncomfortable some nights cause it was hard to sleep with the a/c noise, but the room got too hot. Bed on the hard side. Room had a fridge, no microwave. Desk reps were friendly and helpful. Didn’t like having to pay $45 per night for valet parking, though, that is excessive. Appreciated having places to plug in devices on the bedside tables and desk. Great location for Austin nightlife, especially shows at Stubbs which is right across the street.
