Overall the hotel was very nice and in a convenient location to all the top tourist sites. It appears to have been renovated fairly recently. We appreciated the upgrade to an executive suite, which was large, clean, and comfortable, but there was a lot of wasted space. For instance, there was a large unusable tiled area when you walked into the room leading into the seating area, while the bathroom was super cramped and had a combination tub/shower.
The other problem with our room was that it was over the loading dock so we were regularly woken up by the beep-beep-beeps of garbage and delivery trucks backing up starting at 4am - so bring your earplugs.
Two staff members in particular were fabulous - Roberto, the bartender in Edgar’s, and Frank, the doorman.

- Tried to use Bonvoy upgrade certificates prior to stay but were declined even though they were still selling suites and larger rooms. I asked at check in and the agent was honest and said they do have some suites left but have to hold them just in case. She upgraded us to a Deluxe room. The room was awful. Felt old. Bathroom not clean and zero view. The standard room was superior.
- Breakfast both days was awful. Food was good but lousy service. Forgot our orders both days. Couldn’t find anyone for silverware and had to go grab it ourselves. One day took 45 minutes. Staff was not existitent
- Room #2 never told about the food credit. No insert in key packet either. There were there for four days and lost it the first two as they were not aware and it’s part of the mandatory resort fee. Asked if they would let us use it a different day as never told and they wouldn’t budge. They should have told you and included the insert.
- Part of the Resort fee include an Uber credit and trolly ride. Asked three times for it to be sent out. Only sent to one room. Second room never got it and you pay for it.
- Two agents gave completely different information on Platinum benefits. The bad info cost us money. They didn’t care they goofed.

The hotel is beautiful and charming. The cleanliness is second to none. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. Check in can be tough after a 4 hour drive, but Logan was amazing. He checked us in quickly, gave us an phenomenal upgraded room and waters. The upgrade was much appreciated.
The Room: One of the best I have stayed in. Immaculate condition. Everything is modernized yet still holds its historic charm. You could use a white glove on this place and be pleased.
Edgars: Excellent cocktails. The bar holds its historical value while offering much comfort. The food was great. We dressed casually on a Friday night and didn't feel out of place. The staff was very nice and we would recommend if your staying here to have dinner or at least a cocktail. It's well worth it.
We had an issue with the TV...which turned out to be the streaming service...not the fault of the hotel in anyway. Yet when I called Logan he sent up Ivan immediately. He tried so hard to fix the problem (which we didn't realize was unfixable). Instead of just saying "Sorry" and walking away, he went out of his way with Logan to try and find us another room with another TV to fix the problem. Wow!! They truly went above and beyond for us. Upon realizing they couldn't fix the issue Logan offered us a personalized private tour of the hotel as well as a bottle of wine. This young man was incredible. We will be returning because of him.
Thank you to Logan and Ivan. This staff is second to none. I felt as if I was the only guest in this hotel. What a special experience.
