This review is to give a shout out to our “Butlers”. AB, Plutarco and Edgar. They were informative, welcoming and lots of fun. They made sure that we were enjoying the resort to its fullest. The entire staff is outstanding. Almost forgot Marcial at the members pool. Made us feel at home.😎

Do not go to this resort. I have been a legendary member for over 25 years and this place is poorly designed. Workers not trained properly. Disco/club blasted the music so loud my windows shook. The legendary side had the untrained workers but the side where non members were placed had all the good chefs and waiters. When your at the pool the sun disappeared behind the huge hotel you were in the shade. They advertise 10 minutes to the airport but they forgot to mention that a huge airplane would flyover the hotel every 3 minutes and you couldn’t hear the music. I was unable to make phone calls because I couldn’t hear anything over the loud jet engines. Restaurant staff were untrained including the chefs. The coffee cups were so small I couldn’t fit my fingers in the cup holder and the forks they had were so small you couldn’t keep food on them. The waiters complained how bad they were. They also took away manicures and pedicures and facials from the members. You could only use your points for massages. The hallway from one side of the hotel to the other was almost a mile long. There is so much wasted space in this hotel whoever designed it should be fired. We were harassed daily to go to the legendary meeting the next day after we arrived. We said we would go later in the week. Well we were there one day and we realized why. They wanted to sell us or upgrade us before we realized how bad this hotel is. Very disappointed I would be embarrassed to bring anyone to this resort. Read less

Also, Daniel Uribe served our table when a group of about 40 of us dined on an outside patio. He was so attentive, friendly, and made our dinner special. Another was Candelario in the Veranda restaurant. He gave good suggestions and great service. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Ava, and our room was beautiful overlooking the ocean, and it was cleaned daily. Thank you. Read less
