Bandos has a brilliant dive centre. Very safe, extremely professional, well organised, very good equipment, but also very friendly. They gave detailed dive briefs and the dive sites we visited were phenomenal. We very much enjoyed the food here too. Read less

We didn’t know about so many water flights overflying the resort before choosing - they are extremely noisy especially early in the morning. We did know that it would be expensive to live in Maldives but even though to pay around 13 $ for one beer 0.33 - next drinking Carlsberg as a Dane so fare away is strange - knowing a lot of very good Asian beers. We didn’t see much sun at our stay - so the pics with sun an green blue sea was only few. Read less

Lovely and luxe stay with great hospitality and AMAZING snorkelling at the house reef! The food options were wide and varied too. We took the all inclusive package and it was most definitely worth it. Missing Bandos now that we’re back home 😢

Had a nice holiday here and thought I would give a few insights. We stayed in villa 245 which is in a nice secluded spot. The beach outside is small and the lagoon was initially very calm but for the rest of our stay was very choppy and windy. This isn't great for swimming/ snorkeling as the water churns up and reduces visibility whilst snorkeling. We found the large beach by the Huvan bar to be the best for snorkeling as if you go in to the right of the pier there is a great channel to swim through to the sea defences and then to the drop. Quite an impressive patch of soft coral with families of clown fish along the way too. A must see is the shark feeding on the deck of the grill bar at 5 every evening. Some big Rays turn up for a feed too. Also look out for the crane that lands on the deck patiently waiting for it's daily fish from the kitchen too. Sad to find the main restaurant is still being revamped atm. We weren't informed of that by Tui when we booked. The swimming pool at Bandos is fantastic. I have been lucky to have been to 3 other Maldives islands before and this facility is by far the best. It is well maintained and is a good size, and there was never a problem getting a sunbed at any time of the day. Allthe sunbeds are twins with a good parasol on each. The added onus is the swim up bar which is very well attended by the very polite and attentive Sanjay and Guru. Very impressed with the facilities in the Gym too, and we had a good workout there a couple of times during our stay. We also enjoyed playing table tennis, bar football and pool there too. We usually have a spa treatment whilst on holiday, but didn't on this occasion as we thought the prices a bit too expensive with a thai massage being about 110 dollars each. This isn't even the full price you actually pay as there are two added taxes to this price. Shame it isn't cheaper and that the price stated is the full price that you pay. Also I enquired about a couples massage offer and was told that you can have a couples massage. You just double up the price of a single massage! Not much of an offer then. The only other thing I would say is that if you are bothered by aircraft noise then this is not the island for you. Being so close to the airport the island has float planes and airliners flying over it almost constantly. So go to an island further away if this might be an issue. But generally we had a great time and would recommend a stay at this handy accessed island. Well done management team and staff. Just one more thing. Don't be put off by the weather forecasts as they are rarely accurate. The forecasts during our stay predicted a bit of a washout with heavy rain and thunder, but we had mainly sunshine with a few heavy showers late at night. Read less

We had a standard beachfront room that looked straight out to see with a view framed by pal trees. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. The meals were great with plenty of vegetarian choices. Just watching the fish from the deck at the Huvan bar was a treat. The sharks and heron were a bonus. Seeing a dolphin just off shore on our last day was the icing on the cake Read less
