I had the best stay at Mt. Cinnamon earlier this month. My ocean front villa was immaculately clean with spectacular views of the beach and the extended coastline from the balcony --perfect for morning coffee. The included cooked-to order breakfast and additional buffet of pastries, fruit and cereals is available for several hours each morning. The beach is a 5-min walk, but on site shuttles are also available. The beach facility is stocked with chairs, umbrellas, and water sports equipment; there is also a gym and an outdoor yoga platform for the complimentary yoga offered several times a week. The beach restaurant and bar serves throughout the day. I can't say enough about the kindness and efficiency of the staff that ensured that we had a very enjoyable visit from the moment we arrived until departure. As I was celebrating a birthday, I was surprised with a delicious chocolate cake in recognition of the occasion!!! The staff arranged transportation and tours and provided recommendations and advice on places to visit. So many people checked in with us often to make sure that everything was working and we were enjoying our vacation. Mt. Cinnamon deserves a 5 star plus rating and is, in my view, the best place to stay on the beautiful island of Grenada. Read less

OK, so the good news. It's a fantastic location and the view over Grand Anse Beach and over to St George is awesome. We were in Villa 12 which is right at the top so it really is a fantastic view. The Villa was very clean and the maids did a great job. The beach is good but can get crowded and sometimes they do run out of loungers and towels. Be warned that the elevation from the beach to our Villa was 180 feet, so not for the faint hearted, the shuttles are good though. Grenada is a lovely Island but they aren't at Barbados level yet. People are generally friendly and taxi's are easy to come by. Cederic on the beach (Towels and loungers etc), and Nicholas the shuttle driver were excellent). The Friday night beach BBQ was great and the food was good, it was all hands on deck by the staff and they did a good job. Improvements and disappointments:- (We have mentioned all of this to the assistant manager) - Beach, frankly is a long way from the Villa, especially if like us you were right at the top of the resort in Villa 12. - We had terrible trouble getting in our Villa and tried to get the hotel to sort it. The door electronics are very unreliable which meant many wasted journeys up and down to reception to get the card "reprogrammed"! Was never sorted so we insisted the shuttle guys came down to the villa to let us in. - Service: Is poor generally. Reception whilst saying all the right things are unreliable. The restaurant service is chaotic, they need to look at how the organise. The beach bar can be unfriendly depending on who you get. - Food: Was ok but menus don't change and the breakfast offer is poor, and slow. We had one bad meal due to raw fish (should have been cooked), they changed it but at this level of hotel this just shouldn't happen. - The swimming pool is decorative only. It's right by reception and the restaurant so looks very formal too. No one uses it, it's the beach or nothing frankly. - Constantly ran out of coffee at the beach bar, every day. We kept saying we would be having a morning coffee only for them to have to ring up to the main site. 1/2 hour later coffee might arrive! - There was a Germanic VIB going on too. Two large parties, (one 6 and one 7), and other individuals "reserved" the loungers each and every morning restricting access to the loungers and beach. Often they weren't used for many hours. Overall a lovely spot that could and should be so much better. An improved and more reliable service offer and more varied food would go some way to improving things. Def not 5 star and poor value for the money. Read less

We spent 6 wonderful days. The location overlooking Grand Anse and the grounds are amazing. The beach is essentially private. We enjoyed a snorkel off the beach, using the kayak and the loungers. The pool is refreshing and sparkling clean. The people are kind and food is delicious no matter the option. We are eager to return!
