On 1/24/2025, my friend and I arrived to ocean Eden bay resort around 7pm in honor of my 30th birthday. The front desk personal “Kacie” greeted us and started our check process. After filling out the required paperwork, he introduced me to a man stating that “Expedia” had assigned him to us and claimed we should contact him should we need any restaurant reservations, I don’t know why this was since we booked through JetBlue. Once that was settled, Kacie assigned the room #3318 to which the bellboy escorted us. Upon opening the door with my bracelet, we immediately noticed we walked into someone else’s room. We already were in check in process for about two hours, this delayed our check in about for about two more hours. We were assigned to a single beds room, room #4428 which was not the room that I had originally booked (a double bed), although i did book in advance. Upon arriving to the room, the fridge was not fully stocked as per the resorts guidelines and most importantly, we paid for an ocean view. What we received was far from it. That same night we arrived, we just wanted to eat so we went to the restaurants buffet, after eating our meal a waiter came with a QR code asking me to leave a review, to which i politely declined due to me wanting to wait until the end of our stay. So please, use your judgement when booking and know this is going on within the hotel. Next day, when trying to make reservations for the next night for the hotels Italian restaurant, our “Expedia appointed” member never answered to our messages. We in good faith still decided to go to the restaurant since we did see there were a couple of empty tables on the patio, only to be turned away from the restaurant leaving me extremely upset. When we tried to ask for help, the answers we got were only “unfortunately we can’t”. Very disheartening that no one even attempted to accommodate us after everything that had gone on previously. No one even batted an eye. The attitude was very much “you already paid for this, so we don’t care”. When trying to go to the hotels pool, all their pool chairs were taken, again we went to the concierge to try and see if there were any accommodations, what we we’re immediately told is “upgrade to the pool premium” why would i upgrade to anything in your establishment after messing everything up so far? On our second to last night, on my actual birthday we had a reservation for the hotels steak house. As soon as we arrived to the doors, the hostess greeted us with an “unfortunately we have no more tables left for to night”. We had a reservation set by one of the managers, but the hostess never even bothered to ask. My friend then had to inform her we in fact did have a reservation set up by one of their managers. The workers in the lobby were nothing short of rude and dismissive instead of trying to find ways to help and trying to find ways to compromise with their clients. Even if it was helping finding solutions for the next days to come. The services this hotel provides was completely not up to par with what was paid for. With this being said, there was one person who is in charge of the food and beverage department “Monique”, she was an angel sent from heaven. She did everything she absolutely could to make the rest of our stay as pleasant as possible, but unfortunately the establishment and the front desk workers alongside the bar workers inside the lobby left a terrible taste in my mouth. We were privileged to have Daniel (Dan The Man) as our butler for our stay. He made our trip one to remember. He was attentive to our all of our needs and made sure we didn’t have to worry about anything. Seeing my wife smile from the dinner setup he made happen for us was everything. If you’re staying here in the Privilege suites, ask for Dan The Man, he’ll make your time at the resort is enjoyable. Read less

The best trip I’ve been on. We had Dan the Man (Daniel) as our concierge. He walked us to our room, took care of our luggage. Handled all special requests we had. The best trip I’ve been on. We had Dan the Man (Daniel) as our concierge. He walked us to our room, took care of our luggage. Handled all special requests we had. I wanted our mini fridge filled with Red Stripes, he made it happen. Wanted champagne instead of wine in the room, he took care of it. Everytime we seen him around the resort he had a huge smile, greeting us and asking if we need anything. Every morning he’d check in on what’s app to see if there was anything he could help with or schedule for us. He really made us feel like the most important people there, and I know anyone else who had Dan felt the same. Then there was Jason at the lobby bar. He was the absolute best bartender. It would be packed at the lobby bar every night and he just kept a big smile and took care of everyone. He makes some great drinks, and anything you ask for he can do it! Then we met Levena in the lobby when we arrived. She was so nice. Again every time we seen her, she would give my wife a huge hug and say “my babies!” Lol. Even though we are older than her. But it was just so nice running across Levena daily and getting such a nice and sincere greeting. We had already did the breakfast and short chat which is her job to set up. So really there was nothing else in it for her to need to be so great to us. She is just a wonderful person, who knows how to put a smile on peoples faces! Read less

Romain was our butler and took care of our every need one way or another. We were an elderly couple and it would have been difficult to get around this huge resort without Romain's help. He even looked after our needs on his days off by finding a replacement form us....
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Bland and dry food, like the service

TL;DR — take your money and go anywhere else. You can find better food, service, and quality elsewhere. Food: If bland and dry food is your thing, this may be the place for you. Most meals there were bland (shocking to us) and served room-temperature warm, if served at all (RIP my onion rings I never got despite ordering). There were also… Read more
TL;DR — take your money and go anywhere else. You can find better food, service, and quality elsewhere. Food: If bland and dry food is your thing, this may be the place for you. Most meals there were bland (shocking to us) and served room-temperature warm, if served at all (RIP my onion rings I never got despite ordering). There were also numerous times we asked servers if they could make specific dietary requests (e.g., no cheese). They'd say yes, but it would come out as if we didn't request at all. While there were some hidden gems (like the Tuna app at Red Snapper dinner), the overall food quality was disappointing — especially compared to other all-inclusive resorts. Room service was also quick, but the options are very limited. Amenities/Quality: Amenities are underwhelming, even as a Privilege guest. Our room's safe was broken and there were power outages in our room for 30 minutes at a time. Their app, which is actually a web browser, provides inaccurate information about restaurant hours and reservation policies. This made planning frustrating, especially with a large group such as ours. Service: I'd go so far to say the service here is the worst I've ever experienced. Most staff members seemed completely disinterested or felt like they'd rather be anywhere else. Unfortunately, it felt very unwelcoming and lacked the warmth typically expected at a resort. Even after tipping ($5 to $10+), service was still severely lackluster. Read less
