Sandals St. Vincent’s was so friendly! Especially the dive crew. Vanessa and her crew made us feel extremely welcome and a top priority on each dive we went on! Every member of the crew were amazing. We got small little tours of the shoreline in between the dives . Just a wonderful time with this group.
The resort was very relaxing, and the staff was ready to help us with any concerns we had .
They did run out of some of the food items that we had wanted, and there were some small issues on restaurant times, but that could also be due to it being such a new resort.
Overall, a wonderful time. Had some very good dining experiences . The entertainment was a lot of fun and had some very talented musicians. We would definitely go back to St. Vincent’s sandals and would recommend it to other people.

This is my 20th vacation to the Caribbean and my 18th island and Sandals Saint Vincent ranks number 1 to me. The combination of the facilities, amenities and staff take this resort to a whole different level. We stayed in room 1512 and it was a Bamboo Palm Room with Balcony Tranquility Soaking Tub - LX. This was perfect for our needs and the view from the balcony was stunning. The room was spacious and very clean.
The resort setting is what really stood out to me. It's surrounded by mountains and overlooks the Caribbean Sea. It feels like you are on a movie set. The beach is naturally black sand but they import white sand from Guyana to make the beach useable (black sand would be way too hot to walk on). I can't remember a friendlier staff at any resort I've been to.
The restaurants were incredible. Our first night we ate at Buccan and this was such a unique experience. The second night we ate at Butches and had the surf & turf. It was the best steak I've had in the Islands. The third night we ate at Gatsu and the sushi was outstanding. I recommend requesting a high top seat that overlooks the chef preparing all the rolls. He was amazing. Our next night we ate at Scrimshaw - you have to order the popcorn shrimp and the broiled spiny lobster in a peanut-chili sauce. The next night we ate at Sora (Italian) - it was your typical Caribbean Italian restaurant. Our final meal on the Tuesday night we went to the returning guests dinner. We had a great time. The GM Tamon and Hotel Manager Justin were very approachable and have a great vision for the resort. We ate the majority of our lunches at Parisol - (callaloo and artichoke dip and a Hot Chicken sandwich are a must try). The Jerk Shack was tasty - try the hellfire sauce if you like spicy. We ate all of our breakfasts at the buffet and had zero complaints - try the freshly squeezed OJ.
The Watersports team were outstanding. We went on a glass bottom boat tour, snorkeling and kayaked to the bat cave. We always felt safe and the staff were extremely knowledgeable and passionate.
The beach is imported white sand and we never had an issues finding seats with an umbrella. The water was very calm and refreshing. We are beach people and didn't use a pool the entire time we were there so I can't comment on that. There were two bars we used while at the beach (Parison and the Beach Bar). The bartenders were so personable and Ken really stood out to me. He got me hooked on Captain Bligh's and coconut water - it's what the locals drink.
My wife did a sip and paint one of the afternoons and was so impressed with it.
There is a family of 4 dogs at the resort. They are 100% harmless. They didn't beg for food or bother anyone. They would seek shade under our beach chairs and sleep there for most of the day.
The nightly entertainment was decent. I enjoyed the live music - especially the drummers with the dancers/fire show. The silent disco was a lot of fun too. We usually finished off with a night cap at the Three Jewels Rum Bar. The bartenders here are the best on the resort. Try a flight of the local rum if you get a chance.
Overall this was an amazing trip and I highly recommend this resort for couples who are looking to getaway and relax. I really hope Sandals expands to more Caribbean Islands (hint hint - Dominica, St Kitts and Nevis, Anguilla to start with).
Thank you again to Tamon, Justin and all the staff for making our trip so enjoyable. Sandals Dominica 2027...please make it happen lol

Shevena is awesome at Gatsu Gatsu!

My server Shevena nicknamed “Chevy”/chevrolet 67/ “black japanese spongebob” is the best waiter at the whole resort. Haha. We ate at Gatsu Gatsu and had an absolutely amazing experience thanks to her and the rest of the staff. 10/10 stars!

We visited Sandals St. Vincent from December 3rd - 12th.
The Room
Our room (2140) was a VH - One-Bedroom Garden Butler Suite with Media Room and was located backing on to river and local village. The room was very comfortable and spacious, however the patio area got very little direct sunlight and because it rains everyday in St. Vincent, the patio never dried out during the entire 8 days we were there and the area was essentially unusable. I would definitely book this room category again, but ask that the patio face towards the resort, not river so we could benefit from the patio.
Restaurants
The restaurants overall were very good. My wife is not a big seafood person, so we did not try Scrimshaw or Buccan. If you are not a seafood person, the choices are somewhat limited however at the Returning Guests dinner, the General Manager did announce plans to expand restaurants in the future. We ate at Sora a couple of times for breakfast and dinner. Our server Faith was amazing and one of the kindest, most professional staff members we encountered during our stay.
Butler Service
Our Butlers Dianne and Lenford were excellent and extremely attentive. Dianne has been in the hospitality business for many years and her experience definitely shows. She was so polished and is such a genuine, sincere person. Our third Butler was almost non-existent during our entire 8 days. She seldom checked in with us, forgot to reserve us seats at the beach and never escorted us to dinner, even when she said she would. Her lack of responsiveness is the only reason that I am not giving a 5 star review. I did address it with the customer service manager while on-site and hopefully they will provide her some additional training to improve her performance. The Butler Cruise was a great experience. It really enhanced our stay and was a great way to meet other guests and spend some time with the Butlers in a more informal setting.
The Beach
The beach is relatively small, but you never felt crowded and there were always lounge chairs available. The only place that I noticed people getting up early to reserve a seat was at the infinity pool.
Pools
We sat at all the pools during our stay. Our least favourite was the infinity pool because the chairs are directly below Parisol and it is not at all private. The heat shaped pool is very quiet and you have bartenders from the main lobby frequently providing poolside drink service.
The Dogs
There has been a lot of discussion about the dogs. There is a pack of 4 dogs that wander the property and don’t bother you. I wish Sandals would arrange to spay/neuter the dogs and set up a feeding area with fresh water (so they are not drinking chlorinated pool water). Sandals Antigua has a great care program for their cats and St. Vincent could follow suit with the dogs.
Boat Transfer
Unfortunately our flight was delayed when we arrived and it was too late for the transfer. However, we did take it when leaving and I can honestly say this was one of the highlights of our trip. Leaving Sandals is never easy, but the boat transfer was a perfect way to finish a great holiday. This really makes Sandals SVG butler service unique.
Overall, Sandals St. Vincent was a great experience. A special thanks to Dianne, Lenford and Faith for enhancing our stay.
