Ok. The first thing to say here, is that if you are looking for a luxury hotel, this may not be the place for you. Ok. The first thing to say here, is that if you are looking for a luxury hotel, this may not be the place for you. Don't get me wrong, we had a very pleasant stay, with friendly staff, and very good food, especially for an all inclusive. The bedrooms are spacious and clean. A major problem for me, is the size of the pool, in relation to the hotel. I would say a hotel with in excess of 100 bedrooms? needs more than a smallish pool with around 25 sun beds. If you are prepared to rise early, and place your towel down, then maybe it's for you, but not me. Similarly, the stretch of beach across the road is small. A hotel worker brings a dozen.or so beds at a time, around 9.30, and if you don't get one first time around, you have to wait until some more are brought over. I have no problem with waiting, but these things are NOT an indicator of a boutique, luxury hotel, as is suggested. We often headed to the larger beach further along at Oistins, paying for sun beds. As I said at the start, the staff are nice, one or two exceptionally good at their job, the food really tasty, but if you are expecting luxury, up your budget by and head somewhere else. Read less

Lovely adults only hotel in quiet area but within walking distance of Oistins. Rooms fabulous, huge bed, very roomy. Cleaned every day with fresh towels. Food excellent with themed nights, delicious. Lovely beach across the road, staff take sunbeds down every morning. Would highly recommend.

We have stayed here before for a few nights, however I thought it would be a good idea to stay at Abidah when we arrived on the island to relax and climatise and then move on to sister hotel Accra Beach and Spa Check in was very quick and easy, what you want data long journey The hotel reception is very modern and clean. There is a bar with a great barman Andrei who will attentively cater to your requirements Our room was beautiful with separate toilet to shower room with quality towel and toiletries Wonderful duvets , pillows and linen There is a jacuzzi on balcony which is so good to relax in after a night out or even after you dine in hotel and want to relax with a drink. Lovely pool area over looking the ocean A short walk across the way and you are on beach where there is service for food and drinks A great relaxing start to our holiday We moved on to Accra via curtesy van. Once again a very warm welcome by Justin on reception Our room was ocean view over looking the wonderful pool and a clear view Once again linen was immaculate This is a slightly more lively place to stay with lots of returning guests at Christmas who we had previously met Weekly entertainment and theme dinner nights Food is very good and we had a wonderful Christmas buffet Beach is perfect and it’s such a great location with lots to do outside. All the staff here are so friendly I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it The general manager is always around if you need any help and will go above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Disgusting carpets and glum staff - not staying again

This was an expensive hotel that prides itself with amazing service, but the only real amazing service I got was from the lady on check-in - everyone else seemed glum, the room carpet was filthy and the food choice limited and location is not as good as other cheaper properties within a mile or two. I definitely won't stay again. I guess I expected a lot for the price, but it just didn't do it for me. Pros were that most of the room was clean and spacious, proximity to the airport, rum punch on arrival, cons were a very dirty room carpet that left white socks looking disgusting every day, unhappy staff, slightly isolated location (you generally need a taxi for everything), oil tanker moored a few hundreds metres off the coast occupying the 'beautiful sea view' for most of the stay. Stayed here for 10 nights at end of November. Only 15 minutes transfer from the airport which was great. The hotel stands out on the beach road due to the size and blue glass. It has lovely views across the bay. The majority of the staff are really friendly and helpful, Andreah at the bar is a huge asset he remembered our names and favourite drinks from day 1 and was the only barman to take orders around the pool and even the beach. The cocktails are great Coco Kiss, mudslides and Daquaris esp. There is a menu but if your favourite drink isn’t on it the bar staff will make it if they have the ingredients. The biggest plus for this hotel is the food, it is by far the best we’ve ever eaten on an all inclusive holiday. The chef is outstanding, most evenings are a la carte with an occasional buffet. There are different themes every day. Lunch has a choice of a la carte or buffet depending what time you want it. Breakfast is mainly buffet with plenty of choice but they will prepare something if asked. Ice cream is not on the buffet or menu but if asked you can have this and it’s lovely. The restaurant staff were very pleasant and efficient Kyle and Janye are very hardworking in there. The beach , Enterprise or Miami Beach , is small but beautiful and the hotel sets up loungers and parasols there from 9.30am it’s a 2 minute walk from the hotel. This part of the beach had some really large waves which were great to get into but if you need things a bit calmer walk another 3 minutes past the lifeguard hut and there’s less waves. There are no hotel loungers here however. On the beach with the waves we’d recommend beach shoes to get in and out of the sea as the waves crashing erode the soft sand and leaves a sharp coral section. The hotel pool is quite small but adequate to cool down when needed as daily temperates regularly hit 30 deg C. We had rain most days but apart from 2 half days the showers only lasted 5 - 10 minutes. The hotel rooms are really large with a huge comfy bed, a small dining area, shower room and separate toilet. All rooms have a sea view we were on the 4th floor. There is no entertainment in the evenings which didn’t really bother us as we prefer to have early nights and be up early to catch the sun. The bar was always empty by about 9.30 anyway. The biggest let down / failures of this hotel are the technical issues. All rooms have a hot tub on the balcony but on arrival ours was empty and could not be filled up due to a leak soaking the balcony floor, we reported it to reception twice but nothing was ever done. The air con is a bit temperamental and noisy we had to turn it off in the nights and use the ceiling fan, this wasn’t as cooling but took the edge off, other guests complained about both the hot tubs and air con issues but rarely were they rectified during the stay. The lift wasn’t working on 3 occasions over our stay which was a pain as we were on the 4th floor. 3 of the days we were here the pool was closed until around 11 - 12 o clock whilst chemicals were added to clean it, most other hotels do this overnight. If you have a late flight home the hotel provides a courtesy room with clean towels to shower and change prior to departure you just have to book the day before. When here you can visit the sister hotel the Accra Beach Hotel free with a courtesy bus and if you’re all inclusive at the Adibah this is continued here just get a wristband on arrival, the shuttle bus leaves at 10.30 every day and returns at 16.30. This hotel has a large pool and swim up bar, you can use the restaurant but we ate lunch at the swim up bar, the Panko fried king prawns were amazing. Again you have to pre book this visit at reception. We did a catamaran snorkelling trip with Sun-tours whilst here it was the 5 star lunch cruise on the suntours brochure given to us on arrival at the airport we’d definitely recommend this trip, it’s a 5 hour trip around the west coast and you get to snorkel and swim with turtles, there was also a large ray and Tarpon fish amongst the other shoals, the atmosphere on board was great and not overcrowded. We caught the boom bus into Bridgetown on one occasion which is an experience, you catch the bus by Oistins fish market and is 7.5 BBD (about £3) each. Oistins fish fry Friday is also worth a visit, loads of stalls selling local gifts, food and drinks. There is music and dancers here but it does get quite crowded here, we didn’t eat here but heard the food is great. This is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. We felt very safe walking around outside the hotel but there are a few men begging for money on the beach road and beach. They will walk away if you decline. We would return to this hotel if the deal was good we booked with Bluebay Travel on this occasion and had a bargain. Read less
