Our experience was out of this world. Best house reef, excellent for snorkelling. Shaan took great care of us and we can recommend The Standard to any discerning traveler. Great food too. They catered to our every need and went out of their way to accomodate us.

The standard is gorgeous hotel with wonderfully helpful staff. So many great benefits, awesome room, bathroom is a hoot, swim/snorkel equipment, outdoor pools and lounges, water float park that my boys loved, and incredible house reef. Our host Poula was extremely helpful and kind. He accommodated all of our needs and made everything seamless. Bikes or golf carts are there to help you get around. Laundry service was helpful, cheap and fast. The breakfast is great. The community areas were great. Pool was beyond great. The gym was just okay. The chefs were both very talented and very charming and kind. The service oriented team was amazing … The other thing that was a huge factor in our enjoyment was having a house DJ (Missy Jay). There was about 1 or 2 things every day that the DJ just set the right tone to whether it be a pool party, chill vibes during sunset or an amazing night on a tiny island running a dance party from a generator. Unreal. The DJ is quite popular and plays large festivals in Ibiza etc, so good for them for getting her to stay and play in paradise for a month. The hotel needs to lean into this more- including listing it on the daily activities (a DJ during sunset on a random night feels as important as art class) that VIBE is what the Standard is known for and what differentiates it. The other entertainment that we witnessed there was very subpar. But hard to really complain about anything. Pro tips: the reef off of the peer at the opposite end of the island from the rooms is amazing!!! We booked a fishing trip, caught a bunch of snapper and the restaurant prepared us an amazing meal the next night with our fish (sashimi, tempura and whole grilled). We stayed at the breakfast (not full rate) and glad we did because it gave us more flexibility. One thought is that the rooms really should have water-facing under mount lights off the back porches so you can see the sea creatures at night. Our hotel in Bora Bora had that and it was hours of entertainment. Read less

It was a lovely experience; special thanks to the Egyptian Pharaoh (Paulo) for the hospitality and service. I would advise taking a full package in advance to make your life easier. The food was good, but the activity prices were overrated. A full package option would be nice.
