My stay at this resort was by far the WORST experience out of all 47 resorts I have visited so far and I deeply regret spending money on it. First, upon arrival, I was assigned the wrong villa. It wasn’t an issue with the category—I had booked a water villa with a pool—but the location was terrible. The eastern side of the island is completely unsuitable for swimming due to sharp fragments of dead coral, shallow waters and no channels for snorkeling access to the reef. Later, it turned out this was my travel agent's mistake, not the resort’s. To their credit, the staff tried to resolve the situation and moved me to a villa on the opposite side of the island the next day. This side was slightly better as it allowed for comfortable snorkeling, but entering the water without shoes was still impossible due to the coral. The villas themselves were spacious, with private terraces and plenty of privacy, but another issue quickly surfaced: the seaplanes land right next to these villas, causing loud noise multiple times a day. Many resorts have seaplanes land on platforms farther away from guests, so I don’t understand why this can’t be done here. The food was average at best—poorly seasoned, with limited breakfast options and far from any culinary delight. The only exceptions were the Japanese restaurant The Pearl, which served decent meals and the cocktails at the Sunset Bar, which were quite good. The ice cream shop, however, was a disappointment. Most of the time, there was no one there to serve customers and the selection was small with mediocre quality. Occasionally, they would bring pastries to the room as a snack, but these always attracted bugs. I specifically asked them to stop delivering them because of the insects, yet they completely ignored my request and kept bringing them. The beaches were narrow, small and littered with breakwaters and rocks. Entering the water from the beach meant stepping on dead coral, so water shoes were essential, especially on the southern side, which was worse. Snorkeling was beautiful—I saw eagle rays, sharks, and various fish—but you can experience snorkeling of this quality (or even better) at other, cheaper resorts. The worst issue happened on the second day after my villa move. I began noticing numerous BITES all over my body. Initially, I thought it was something from the sea, like jellyfish or plankton (this occasionally happens in the Maldives), but I always wear long-sleeve swimwear and shorts to avoid such situations. I avoided swimming for the following days, expecting the bites to heal, but instead, more appeared. I suspected mosquitoes or an allergic reaction, but the itching at night became unbearable and the bites kept multiplying, especially on my legs, hips, belly and buttocks. I called a doctor, who prescribed cortisone cream, vinegar and aloe vera. Eventually, I realized it might be 🔴 BED BUGS since the bites were in clusters. I reported this to the staff and requested a villa change. Unfortunately, no other pool villas were available, so I downgraded to a water villa without a pool—and the bites started healing! The staff claimed they inspected the original villa and found nothing (which is laughable since bed bugs are notoriously hard to detect without proper treatment). Worse, they immediately moved new guests into the same villa. I could have forgiven this, as bed bugs can be brought in by other guests, but the resort's management handled it poorly. The manager couldn’t even look me in the eye or properly apologize. Instead, he acted as if I was making it up and refused to acknowledge the issue. This kind of dismissive attitude from large corporate chains like Westin is unacceptable — no proper communication, no offer of compensation. They'd rather stay silent and make fools out of their guests—after all, those guests won’t come back, but it doesn’t matter because someone else will. After all, we are the Westin hotel chain! 🥴 I was at the resort alone (unfortunately, my partner had to return to home country due to health reasons), so we negotiated with the resort that I would receive a credit worth $1,100 for his unused meal plan, which I could use for activities or restaurant visits. However, due to the bites, I wasn’t in the mood to go for massages or excursions. I asked my butler, Athyk, if the unused portion of the credit could be refunded upon my departure if I didn’t use it all. He discussed it with the manager, who approved it. I asked again for confirmation and it was approved repeatedly. I was supposed to receive a refund of approximately $700. During my departure, I asked again and was told that the refund would be sent to credit card. After leaving, I contacted the Westin front office and was informed that I would not be receiving ANY refund after all. 🚩They are simply LIARS, nothing more. They have absolutely no respect for their customers. As evidence regarding the bed bugs and the unreturned credit, I am attaching photos. Summary: - Beaches: Small, narrow, rocky and unsuitable for swimming without shoes. - Villas: Nice and spacious, but lot of noise from seaplanes and rocky entrance. - Food: Average, except for The Pearl and Sunset Bar. - Service: Poor communication and dishonest staff. - Management: Incompetent, dismissive and unwilling to address issues. - Snorkeling: Nice, but similar experiences are available at another resorts. - Bed Bugs: A major issue, with the management refusing to take responsibility. This resort is not in the cheapest category and there are dozens of better options in the Maldives for the same price—or even less. My advice: avoid this resort at all costs. It’s simply not worth it. 🙅🏻‍♀️ Read less

Even prior to arriving at the Westin, we were completely blown away by the level of service we received from this incredible team. Our flight from Turkey was delayed by four hours and the hotel quickly helped us make alterations to our travel plans which included a seaplane and speed boat ride to safely arrive at our destination. Once we arrived, we were courted by staff members playing the drums! We were then swiftly driven to our villa where we got a restful night of sleep atop an incredibly comfortable and luxurious bed. The next morning, we received a tour of the island by friendly staff and noticed the stunning surroundings and the attention to detail. It quickly became clear that our experience at this gorgeous Maldives resort would be truly unforgettable, and that the entire team is dedicated to making every guest feel like royalty. The resort itself is breathtaking – crystal-clear waters, powdery white sand, and spacious overwater villas that offer an unparalleled sense of luxury. We were regulars at the gym where fruit-infused water and oil-infused chilled towels were readily available to support our workouts. During our stay, we pampered ourselves with a couples massage where we were greeted with delicious tea and a focus on our well-being. We also enjoyed the range of activities offered, including snorkeling in the vibrant coral reefs just offshore, a relaxing couple's spa treatment, happy hours and mixers. There were several other events and opportunities available that we didn’t take full advantage of because we enjoyed deep relaxation in our amazing accommodations. The buffet breakfast was a highlight every morning, with a variety of options that catered to every taste. The chefs quickly learned our orders and prepared them for us as we arrived each day. My fiance and I thoroughly enjoyed sampling the Maldivian dishes which were featured each morning. The beachside bar served the most refreshing cocktails, perfect for lounging at the pool or catching a sunset. A special shout-out to the entire team for their exceptional hospitality. From the front desk to the restaurant staff, the concierge, and the housekeeping team, everyone was so friendly, professional, and attentive. Whether it was arranging a private cooking class, organizing a memorable excursion, providing medical care, or simply checking in with us to ensure we were comfortable, it was clear that customer satisfaction is their top priority. We want to specifically name the following staff members: Amila, Saud, Prem, Min, Hoodh, and Nafil. Overall, our stay at Westin was nothing short of magical. The impeccable service, combined with the natural beauty of the Maldives, created an experience we’ll never forget. If you’re looking for a luxurious, relaxing, and truly special getaway, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to return! Thank you, Westin Staff, for making our trip so memorable. Read less

Amazing views, amazing food and perfect service! Especially the administrator Sartra and gym coach Santo. Our fourth experience in Maldives. But this place is quite worth of money. Beach is pleasant and clean and the coralls are still alive. Perfect for snorkeling

Worst experience . Unfriendly booking staff. Ceck out, exchange rate they have €=$,Bugs , coachroches in the dinner time. They are not flexible. Everything is about the money. The beaches are with a lot of stones. You have to but slippers with 50$.
