Totally in keeping with its sophisticated home city, Canopy by Hilton Washington DC The Wharf sweeps you up in its uber-contemporary spirit. With its incredible location — best admired from the roof terrace — the urban-appropriate greenery, and a barely-there glass balcony create a serene setting for viewing Potomac River. It may only be a walk from the metro, water taxis, and The Wharf, but it has complimentary Canopy bikes for exploring. And you can return for local brew, wine, and spirit tastings at Canopy Central, which is also the venue for its complimentary artisanal breakfasts (if you don’t opt for the free Break Fast Bag in-room delivery, that is).

Tabitha the Great!

We arrived early and the front desk receptionist, Tabitha, kindly greeted us and searched for a room to meet our request. Every time my husband and I interacted with Tabitha we knew she was going to go the extra mile to accommodate our needs. She is one of the reasons we have made the Canopy our DC destination for our couples retreat.

We were taken care of very well! Ms Tabitha was especially accommodating. Too often even people in the hospitality field run out of fuel, this is not the case for the staff here. These good people definitely made us feel welcomed and made the experience a pleasant one. We will be back!
So dissappointed

I would love to give this hotel 5 stars. The staff was exceptional and the bakery on the ground floor was exquisite with delicious treats. The view was phenomenal. Unfortunately, the room looks like it was 20 years old! Carpet was terribly stained and torn at the seam. The wooden portion of the floor was covered with black scuff marks. Certainly…

Tabitha was the best!!! So friendly and welcoming. Alex and Nia were ready to welcome guests. Will definitely stay here again. The view is very nice and the rooms are clean. As a Hilton member, this stay is very worth it and I can’t wait to return for the Cherry blossoms.
