Deep in downtown, Le Méridien New Orleans presents The Big Easy in all its glitzy glory. After a mega-million dollar refit, it mixes the city’s refined style and sense of fun, with pops of yellow and blue, music-inspired accessories, and reflections of New Orleans in its photography. Location’s key of course – it’s just 100 metres from Bourbon Street and Harrah’s Casino, and 300 metres from the French Quarter. And they’ve teamed up with The Sweat Social to bring you running tours, Priority Bicycles to offer bike hire, and three incredible art museums to give you complimentary entry. Returning to base, you can swim in the rooftop pool, dine on Deep South inspired dishes at LMNO, and take time out in The Hub – a café-come-bar with complimentary WiFi, a New American menu, and an evening aperitif hour featuring sparkling cocktails.

Staff is the best thing they have going

The negatives are the dealbreakers and reasons I won't be back. Both evenings we were served $60 dine-in dinners in styrofoam containers brought to us in a grocery sack! We were told they ran out of plates. What hotel runs out of plates? The utensils at breakfast were plastic.
The hotel, overall, is under staffed. It took almost 30 minutes to get our car from the valet with only one person in line before us. The bar was at capacity one evening yet there was only one bartender serving the bar and surrounding seating area. Nothing against the valet or bartender...they were working hard and remained calm, but there is serious understaffing by management.
The "restaurant" doubles as the bar. It's by the hotel entry, so it's subject to the outside temperatures with the door opening frequently. Today it was freezing. Wearing coats and scarfs at breakfast is not ideal! There is a large space at the other end of the lobby, then no one utilizes… why not have the restaurant or bar there?
As a lifetime platinum member, my Marriott experiences are many. This Le Meridian is on par with a Fairfield Inn.

Ijohli!!!!! Welcome me in with open arms! Great customer service… A real people person. Awesome job the front desk do with welcoming quests. Valet guy was great, food was nice. Clean settings throughout the hotel. The entire staff was helpful

Our room was spacious and clean. The fitness room was well equipped. Location is good. Unfortunately we had service issues with housekeeping- no service one day, only partial number of towels & glasses not cleaned on another. Our carpet developed a pretty big wet area one day- we reported it and a big fan was dropped off, started up, and abandoned without comment. The main restaurant is closed so they are serving all meals in the bar area. So at breakfast the coffee is delivered in paper to go cups with no refills. Also, at the bar they weren’t able to make the cocktails that we ordered from the menu because they didn’t have the supplies. This all felt like cost cutting to me. I brought the problems to the attention of the front desk staff and they did what they were specifically asked to do but they were impassive- like they are used to getting these types of complaints. No sense of apology for the lack of hospitality.

Jazzed about New Orleans!

Rooms were well designed, spacious and clean with fantastic views! Restaurant was small but service and food was excellent. Front desk service was great and location was fantastic as I needed to be near both the French Quarter and the Convention Center.
