Our stay at this hotel was ok. The rooms are clean, today, well maintained and have most things you would need except a kettle/tea-coffee. The breakfast is not good, firstly you need to go to the ground floor then queue to turn go up to the 5th floor to be seated. The food is not great either, the scrambled eggs were disgusting, I’m not what… Read more

The breakfast is not good, firstly you need to go to the ground floor then queue to turn go up to the 5th floor to be seated. The food is not great either, the scrambled eggs were disgusting, I’m not what the beans were, fruit was going off one of the days, the yogurt is cheap and processed. If you like a quality breakfast I would suggest going bed instead of B&B. Allergies they have gluten free bread and can advise you on the food put out if required. The gym is good, there is a bar and snack area which is clean, plenty of seats. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful BUT the front reception staff were miserable and moody. Honestly every time we spoke to them or even walked past they simply looked like they had an anger problem. Overall is ok Read less

The hotel is in a great location, right in the thick of Times Square. The staff were helpful and generally friendly. They answered all the questions we posed. The rooms were bright, modern, clean and had everything you needed. Complimentary water on arrival, nothing after that. No tea and coffee making facilities in the actual room. The rooms… Read more

The rooms were bright, modern, clean and had everything you needed. Complimentary water on arrival, nothing after that. No tea and coffee making facilities in the actual room. The rooms were cleaned every day. Be prepared to wait for the lifts.... I don't know whether this was down to the hotel being busy, however, that was a frustration. I would recommend and stay again as the location was excellent and the rooms more than sufficient. If you want all singing and dancing this isn't the hotel for you. Read less

The Riu Plaza Manhattan Times Square is beautifully located right in the heart of the city, making it perfect for exploring New York. The rooms are surprisingly spacious for NYC standards, very clean, and well-maintained. The housekeeping staff does a wonderful job and is genuinely warm and welcoming. However, I can’t give this hotel a 5 rating because of the front desk staff. From check-in onward, the experience with them was disappointing. The man who checked us in became visibly annoyed when I accidentally didn’t hold my card on the machine long enough. Okay, it was a mistake, however, his reaction was unnecessarily rude as he told me sharply, "Don’t move it!" Never seen such behavior from hotel staff.... Throughout my stay, the few other encounters I had with the front desk were similar – dismissive, unfriendly, and as if they didn’t want to be asked anything at all. For a hotel of this level, it’s unacceptable to have staff who make guests feel like an inconvenience. It’s a shame because the rest of the hotel is lovely, and it could easily provide a 5-star experience if the front desk team were more professional, patient, and hospitable. Maybe a little training for them is needed – although it’s mostly just common sense to be polite. Read less

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Our room was very nice and very clean. There is no coffee maker in the room and I do believe they need more elevators. There was one that did not work the entire time so there were only 2 elevators to get to our floor. The wait times to go down to the lobby were sometimes 20 to 25 minutes, which is… Read more

Also, the breakfast set up is a total fiasco with the elevator problems being what they were we had to go to the first floor to sign in for breakfast and then wait for an elevator to go to the fifth floor and eat breakfast - totally ridiculous in a my opinion. I had no interaction with any of the staff so I couldn’t say anything good or bad about the staff. Read less
