We had a King Bed, Corner (Ball Drop View) room (not that the ball was dropping at this time of year.) Great views from on high over Times Square. Quite luxurious feel to the room, fixtures and fittings. Remote controlled curtains. Quite a small room in terms of square feet, but that would be keeping costs down in this prime real estate area. … Read more

Right over 49 Street Subway station, so good connections to where ever you want to go in NYC. Staff were all fine. Read less

It was extremely clean and the view from our room was amazing. We didn’t pay extra but our room had a partial view of Times Square. The shower in the room was really good and very hot! The bed was also super comfy that we didn’t want to get out of it! We felt very safe as there were lots of security manning the doors and your key card would only allow you to your floor in the building. The only thing I would say are drinks are expensive (9$) for a bottle of water. It would have been nice to have bottled water in the room. We also had to pay 800$ deposit which we were unaware of (this would get refunded after the stay). This included the tax of 40$ per night which we were aware of. I would recommend this hotel as it is very central, has lovely rooms, is clean, quick check in and check out and a lovely bar to relax in! Read less

The stay at the hotel was fine, however minimal info given at check in wasn’t told about the 10 dollars we get back each day for the tourist tax or the rental of citi bikes. On return and checking my credit card the $1000 dollar hold for the deposit had been taken twice. It was then refunded but then the $200 tourist tax was taken twice. Been… Read more

The Tempo Hilton Times Square has its strengths, but unfortunately, some significant drawbacks impacted our stay. On the positive side, we stayed in a high floor suite for four, which was excellent. The rooms were modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with the added convenience of two bathrooms—a huge plus for a group. The views of Times Square were stunning, making the suite feel special and very New York. Also to note, you must tell management in advance if you’ve wish to use the sofa bed as a bed otherwise it will not be made up. I’m not sure where they thought we were all going to sleep! However, there were major issues that need addressing. Firstly, the huge deposit required upfront is excessive and could affect guests’ ability to spend during their stay, which feels unfair. We were not made aware of this beforehand. The biggest disappointment, though, was the breakfast experience. It was utterly abysmal—a chaotic, unappealing process that felt more like eating at a fast-food chain than in a Hilton hotel. Breakfast came in boxes with paper plates, plastic cutlery, and no proper glasses or cups—not in the restaurant or even in the rooms. The amount of plastic waste must be off the scale, and it’s both environmentally irresponsible and unpleasant for guests. Whoever approved this setup should seriously rethink the concept. Overall, while the rooms and views were great, the breakfast and deposit policy left a sour note. Such a shame for a hotel with so much potential. Read less

Really smart hotel and great central location but the best thing by far is the fantastic Team who work here and really look after you from the minute you arrive outside. In a busy city where great service and attitude isn’t readily obvious Tempo is an oasis. Would definitely stay again.
