Mohammed at the hotel was amazing. We had two horrible rooms on the 9th floor which we were very disappointed with. Mohammed moved us after complaining to two newly renovated rooms on the 20th floor which were Amazing. Hotel has a great location and with the new renovated rooms it was an amazing stay. Thanks Mohammed we are very grateful

When we arrived our assigned room had a toilet leaking and the adjacent carper was water logged. We went downstairs to check in and the amazing counter attendant graciously assigned us another room that was WAY better than the room we were initially assigned. The logic behind our review is that the walls here are VERY thin. The two different neighbors we had were both night owls and their passion was audible in our room upon relations...... Although we recognize the value of partnership, this wasn't our biggest disappointment. We had celebrated my wife's birthday at a highly rated steakhouse just around the corner. We were fortunately to have leftovers for the next day. Well, we had assumed we'd be able to have them reheated for a meal the next day. We couldn't have need more wrong!!! The hotel staff said there was no microwave available, but we could have one sent to our room for a charge. We needed 30 seconds to reheat our food. We'll NEVER pay to have 30 seconds of food reheated. I even asked the staff present and they all indicated that they had access to a microwave to reheat their personal food for meals but were told they couldn't reheat ANY food for guests. I ended going back to the steakhouse that we dined at and the were more than willing to reheat the food for us. The location is FANTASTIC, the customer service is fair, at best....... Read less

So THANKFUL! Great experience at the Manhattan Hotel! When you go to the booking.com and Expedia, you may find some unfavorable reviews, BUT let’s think about it. So THANKFUL! Great experience at the Manhattan Hotel! When you go to the booking.com and Expedia, you may find some unfavorable reviews, BUT let’s think about it. If you are looking for a super fancy hotel Paris Hilton would approve, you need to stay at the Plaza. What is a normal, not snooty American tourist looking for? First of all, PRICE. The Manhattan Hotel will offer you great prices for great value. Second, LOCATION. The Manhattan Hotel is within a walking distance to Time Square, Broadway, Central Park, Summit One, Rockefeller Center, you name it. The subway station is right there too and you can easily reach anything you want to see. Third, HOSPITALITY. Hotel staff will go about and beyond to help you. You tell them about your problem or your need, they will take care of it in a NY second. My special thanks go out to RACQUEL and EDWARD! They were incredibly kind and helped my family out a lot! Thank you, Racquel! Thank you, Edward! You are amazing! Fourth, PRACTICALITY. For breakfast you get a cup of coffee or a juice, a pastry and a fruit. What more do you need? Do you need a fancy breakfast buffet for $$$ every day? Look at your waste line and take a sufficient breakfast at the Manhattan Hotel. And the last but not least, ROOM CLEANLINESS. The Manhattan Hotel has it. Yes, some reviews mentioned chipped paint or rusty nails, that is true, but there is no mold, no bugs. Everything is clean, hot water, fresh sheets, comfy beds, reliable heating, free WiFi (just stay closer to the room door to get the steady service, but hey, it is free). The Manhattan Hotel has everything a tourist needs, and a little bonus. Rooms have nice city view, at least ours had. Last word, do not be snooty, think about what you look for in a hotel and I’ll bet the Manhattan Hotel will check most of the boxes. Read less
