Like a beautiful, glass puzzle box, this newcomer to Seattle’s luxury boutique hotel scene stands just a block away from Pike Place Market and the waterfront. As such it commands disarming views of Puget Sound through to the distant Olympic Mountains from The Nest – the Thompson Seattle’s urbane rooftop bar and outdoor living room – and many of its rooms and suites – through pulse-quickening, floor-to-ceiling windows. Decorated with elegant materials given quirky contemporary life through an understated colour palette, the look and feel is very much 'comfortable luxury residence'; something that’s only enhanced by a 24-hour fitness centre, complimentary WiFi, and California Kitchen, a restaurant that turns the finest locally sourced ingredients into dishes that become lifelong memories.

Destination fee added with no explanation of what it includes, often offerings not honored. Otherwise clean room, great valet (likely third party) and walkable location.…

The Thompson Always Delivers

I almost didn't write this because I want to be able to get a reservation! The Thompson is a charming hotel with outstanding staff and amenities. The location is exceptional and I'm always welcomed back. We are Hyatt members and have been for years. Hyatt's points program is without equal and we've always been delighted.
Room not ready …

Room not ready upond check in at 7:00 pm. Rooms are guaranteed to be ready by 4:00. This caused us to miss our dinner reservations planned and forced us to eat at someplace less place less desirable. When you pay the amount of money for accommodations, the expectation is set that your room will be ready at guaranteed time.
Short stay at the Thompson.

Great location, friendly service and good food, the trifecta! Very short walk (one block) to the Pike Place Market and all its goodies. The food at the restaurant is inventive and inviting...staff is friendly and very accommodating. I will be back!
