Vdara Hotel & Spa at ARIA Las Vegas

The Strip, Las Vegas

Virgin rating

The hotel

Designed for those who want to tap into the energy and excitement of Las Vegas but would prefer to enjoy it from an exclusive, non-gaming and smoke-free resort, Vdara is one of few hotels in Vegas not to house a casino. What you get instead is a cosmopolitan, all-suite hotel that feels blissfully private despite being in the heart of the action. The cutting-edge pool is surrounded by private retreats, semi-private plunge pools and cabanas; there’s a world-class spa, and you are a few short minutes away from a dizzying range of dining, shopping and entertainment options, so you’ll never be short of things to do. The Vdara really is an oasis in the desert.

Great service and a wonderful room. Loved the amenities and the comfort the room provided. Three nights for a conference. Bathroom was my favorite. Huge tub and great shower. Had I more time I would have stayed in the tub

Wanted a view of the fountains and The Sphere and got a gorgeous view on the 25th floor. Hotel was simple but elegant and clean. Check in process was a breeze with the MGM app. Digital key can be a hassle but we got used to it. Two banks of elevators serving different floors helped with getting guests to rooms. We got a Fountain View room was blown away shocked at how beautiful the rooms were. We had the shades up to enjoy the night lights. A relaxing and peaceful way to sleep. Good size bathroom with enough towels and decent size shower with a bench like seating area. There was also a tub but we didn’t use it. It had a stove, microwave and small refrigerator. Two things that bothered me and took away from the overall rating was the furniture was dusty like no one stayed in the room for two weeks or so. We also didn’t have robes or slippers in our rooms. Don’t know if they stopped providing them but I was expecting to have them in the rooms. No, we didn’t bother Guest Services to ask. Nice and quiet away from the “noise” of a casino/hotel but close enough to get some casino action. Definitely will stay here again. Read less

It has to be the best located hotel on the strip with easy access to The Aria,Bellagio and Cosmopolitan which is wonderful and the Vdara is priced well. I have stayed at nearly every hotel in Vegas but now I will only stay at The Vdara Best of all though are the wonderful views of the strip. Read less

This "hotel" is essentially a wing of the Aria; meaning you get to pay full price for zero amenities. The only reason to stay here is proximity to the Aria, in which case you should simply stay there to get better amenities. Let's break it down. Room amenities: Zero. There are no amenities in the room, everything is in mini bar. Even the Keurig coffee, which is standard is all hotels, is $18 for a single serving. Yes, you read that correctly - $18 for a SINGLE pod. Housekeeping: None. We called three times to ask for housekeeping before they finally replaced the towels. We stayed three nights and only got housekeeping one night, after we asked three times for it. I had to go down to the front desk and tell them. They claim it was the do not disturb, so I had to show them a picture of the door. Marriot Bonvoy: $15 food credit a day. AVOID this property if you're a Bonvoy member AT ALL COSTS. There's no breakfast, no late check out, nothing. You get $15 credit to use at the grab and go station, but sometimes the credit doesn't show and you need to go to the front desk to check it. Also, black coffee is $7 so this doesn't go very far. Food options: Gran and go, Starbucks. Need I say more? Room quality: Dated. Rooms are designed poorly with IKEA furniture. The blackout shades don't work, the outlets don't work... You need an HDMI cable to use the TV. Other amenities: Zero. The entire property is a lobby with a Starbucks. The only reason you'd need to be here is proximity to the Aria, but if you need to be at the Aria, just stay there. Read less

I visited Vdara today (12/8/24) along with my husband. I sat in the bar (lounge area) awaiting my husband who was purchasing food and drink. Approximately five minutes after taking a seat I was approached by a server (sadly didn’t get name but red hair/glasses/heavy set). I was informed that if I was not purchasing food from the bar and it became busy (it was quiet) I would have to leave immediately. I requested clarification and was met with an extremely rude response. Having spent many happy days/hours at both Vdara and Aria, and enjoyed both (as a hotel guest & visiting with friends) I was astonished at this truculent servers attitude towards me. Interestingly a gentleman sat opposite me with a Starbucks drink and a young couple had no drink…neither party was accosted by this or any server, for sitting in the lounge. I have always been a fan of MGM properties but sadly this upsetting and embarrassing event has ensured we will not return to the Vdara. BEWARE: if you do not purchase from the bar and only the bar you are not welcome in the lounge area…even if you are a hotel guest!! Unbelievable!!! Read less
