Image of the Tripadvisor rating Pool Bar - Natalie

If you need a bit of a break from the ocean/beach or the many pools, Natalie at the pool bar is always ready with a smile and a well-poured beverage. There is even a swim-up portion of the bar for those who may be inclined. Either way, Natalie is a warm presence and an asset to the resort. Definitely come get a drink from her if on-site.

For being a Beaches/Sandals resort, we expected better service and for their equipment not to be broken down so much. The customer service was subpar at best. Restaurant staff (with the exception was Yaku and Kimonos) were so rude and annoyed to be there. The espresso machine was broken 5 of the 7 days we were there. We did not get things delivered to our room when requested. Bar service always had a long wait because there was only one bartender working. It just wasn’t what we expected overall for the price we paid. We were also greatly annoyed with the locals constantly bothering us to buy weed and bracelets on the beach while we were hanging out with our kids or trying to relax in the cabana. We can definitely say we won’t be back to this location. Read less

Our room with and ocean view - non existent. Food - awful across the vicinity. Only redeeming food is the jerk shack. Buffet - awful chicken truck dry and salad empty. Italian just starting - not edible. No spaces on the beach - everyone has saved by 7 am and lifeguards or anyone not interested in assisting and moving towels. No hot water in shower and AC leaking on floor. Went to concierge about room and validated - but nothing. Everyone wants to step up but no one does. Spent many $$ across the board between sandals and beaches. Unacceptable. Room number 112 /113- dec 22,24-dec28.2024. Read less

Waiting for our flight home- sad to leave this beautiful beach but excited for home sweet home. This is our second experience with Beaches, first time was Ochos Rios. Negril’s beach far surpassed Ochos. We rented a cabana each day to have a home base for our kids & a place for Hubby and I to relax. Our server, June was lovely- she quickly became part of our family. She took the time to know what we liked & made sure it was available for us. Our room Oversized Tropical Beachfront was perfect for our family. Nothing fancy- but comfortable and clean always. As for concierge… not really sure what the need is. I don’t think I asked them for anything that was not typical. We made our own reservations and often opted for the buffet most nights. Concierge is not butler service- no room service included. Food was good at the buffet, plenty of options. Dino’s pizza for lunch or Jerk Shack. The food trucks were great too- quinoa bowls delish! We were super impressed by the entertainment staff. Delly is truly a born star- he brings light and laughter wherever he goes. Our kids love him! Jose as well, truly a talented young man who loves his job. Not only was he a basebball player, but a fire dancer and performer. He told me it brings him joy to make people smile. What a beautiful soul. The ladies- wow!!! Unbelievable dancers and singers. Be sure to check out the fire show & the water show! Truly awesome! Monique and Rojaye were phenomenal bartenders who served not only drinks, but smiles. The rest of the staff was pleasant, however far less friendly than in Ochos Rios. We did tip wherever we were to extend our thanks and to help celebrate the holiday season. My only complaint was one evening we came to our room to not have a tv remote. I called concierge twice with no answer, as well as reception. I walked down to concierge and was greeted and told a remote would be sent up. 1 hour later, no remote. Down to reception was told the same, but 30 mins no remote. Out of desperation I called housekeeping… 5 mins later we heard a knock and received a remote. There was a 6 hr power outage in the block of rooms my mom was in. They were told it would be a few minutes- it was several hours. Not a huge deal but the ac was out so it was hot and with no power, a Cpap machine does not work. We had a lovely time- enough sun and sand and salt water to keep us warm for the rest of winter. I am grateful for the experience and some of the lovely people like Delly, Jose, Monique, Rojaye and June who added to our joy. Read less

We visited Beaches Negril with our two kids age 12 & 15 for an early Christmas vacation. I did a lot of research and with it being our first time to Jamaica I booked Club Mobay for arrival and departure at the airport. I also booked private transportation to the resort using JoeCool. Upon arrival to the resort we were taken to concierge for initial check-in where our butler, Royland, met us and escorted us to our room. We met our other butler, Debbie, the next morning. We stayed in the two bedroom walkout butler suite which was located in the 600 block of Savannah. It was a great location, central to everything and very convenient access to the beach. Our rooms were cleaned exceptionally daily before noon and also restocked daily with drinks and water in the room fridges. We had breakfast delivered to our rooms most mornings and it always arrived fresh and hot! Both our butlers were very nice but Royland stood out to us because he was very attentive and really ensured that we were taken care of. Royland even surprised me with birthday cake and balloons when he learned it was my birthday a few days after we departed. The included snorkel trip was enjoyable and fills up quickly so sign up early! We loved the food at Yaku. The appetizer skewers and Mac n cheese were very good! We also enjoyed coconut shrimp and Caesar salads daily while lounging on the beach. We had a blast at Kimonos with chef Justin, he was truly entertaining and very good at what he does. He sang great too and the food was yummy teppanyaki. We used the resort shuttle for our ride to the airport and next time I would just book private transfer both ways. While the resort shuttle was fine— it was definitely more pleasant in a private transport for the long ride. Overall this trip was 9/10 — nothing is perfect and there is always room for improvement in all things which is why I give it this score. We would recommend this resort to anyone looking for good eats, lovely beach, gorgeous sunsets, tasty drinks, lovely staff and lots of relaxation on a family resort! Read less
