Longshore Luxury Oceanview Rooms are located in the Caribbean Beachfront Village, and are newly renovated rooms a short stroll from the beach. These rooms feature bathroom with rain shower, and ocean views from the balcony.

Longshore Oceanview Luxury Walkout Rooms are newly renovated rooms located on the ground floor of the Caribbean Beachfront Village, just steps from the beach. These rooms feature bathroom with rain shower, and a patio offering ocean views.

Paradise Honeymoon Beachfront Grande Luxe Club Level Rooms are locted on the beach front on the first and second floors of the Paradise building. These rooms feature bathroom with walk-in shower, and a balcony offering views of the beach and ocean. These rooms include Club Sandals service.

Longshore Beachfront Two-Story One-Bedroom Butler Villa Suite with Tranquillity Soaking Tub are newly renovated suites, spread over two levels. The first floor features a spacious living area complete with smart TV and Bluetooth surround bar, and the floating staircase leads to the second floor which has the bedroom, a luxurious bathroom with bath tub and rain shower, and balcony complete with Tranquility Soaking Tub for two, from which to enjoy views of the beach and ocean. Sundowner Swim-up Beachfront One-Bedroom Butler Suites feature a luxurious bathroom with walk-in shower and separate whirlpool bath, expansive living room with a second smart TV, and patio with direct access to the Crystal Lagoon pool and the beach beyond. Below are some amazing people we had the opportunity to interact with and wish we had more time to create more memories with them. For now, you have amazing team members. Chrisany at Perla was very friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Shellece's smile for sure lit the room up and great customer service Chantay was very humble and sincere Pepper, the chef at Kimonos, was a great cook and entertainer Shantel was a pleasure to talk with. She is so kind and sweet. Carl was very attentive and helpful and so much more Kevon helped tremendously with our request Xavier came to our room and got the wifi to work for us Akeem was amazing. We made reservations at Sandals Negril in August for a November vacation. We were looking forward to this destination as it was a "Sandals" reputed to be one of the finer vacation establishments. The ride from Montego Bay airport to Sandals and return to the airport at the end of our stay was the most exciting venture we had. Fast driving,avoidance of collisions and dodging potholes the size of a kids wading pool got our hearts pumping! The staff at Sandals Negril were terrific from room service to bartenders and welcoming persons.Food was mediocre at best with it being served just above room temperature. Breakfasts were also merely warm and selections limited unless you wanted an omelet,then get in line ,you are number 11 in the que! The large open wooden deck outside of the breakfast area was never used,no tables no chairs. Some deck boards were rotted away at the cut ends with deck screws exposed to some unsuspecting person in "sandals" or barefeet to get cut.The room we had was OK,something in the realm of an ordinary upgraded motel room to be found anywhere. As to the beach and water, nowhere did we see the azure waters as depicted in the brochures and the beaches were disappointing,much smaller with course sand as opposed to the descriptions. Wade into the water in the cordoned off areas, this was to allow boats to beach or anchor off shore. Initially when going in the water from the beach the bottom is sandy,then it goes to some aquatic grass (weed) and the at waist deep you are into a mucky quagmire of oozing mud like bottom, much like a clay cow pond. This resort is dated and is sorely requiring an upgrade.In summation this Sandals resort just moves the needle to OK,not terrific and not totally bad but for the money, look somewhere else. King James was the absolute highlight of our family’s trip. He had such a positive attitude and really made an effort to make sure that we had the best stay! He made an effort to learn our names and include us in all resort activities. We will miss him!

I’ve been wanting to come to Sandals for years. With all the advertising speaking of high class service, exceptional food, etc. I couldn’t wait to go but I was disappointed. This is NOT the worst all inclusive but definitely not what they advertise or what I expected. The rooms are dated and bathrooms tiny unless you spring for a high end room which is in a newer tower. Who would know this when booking? The food is NOT high quality, overcooked lobster from the Sundowner and the breakfast buffet is constantly out of items which they are slow to replace. Instead of keeping things on hand/in stock, seems the trend is to wait until it runs out and make guests wait until they choose to replenish. This also applies at the omelette stand. Crazy, I know and we had this same experience arriving at breakfast early and later in the morning, so clearly this is their standard operating procedure. The activities are somewhat fun but DO NOT start on time and one event we attempted to attend didn’t happen at all and not one person came to make an announcement of such. The entertainment staff overall is extremely engaging. You will see them throughout the resort. Ruth is part of the entertainment staff and is a pleasant, beautiful young lady and a wonderful dancer. I will say overall, my sister and I had a nice time and though there are a number of staff members who stood out, there are many who could use training in smiling and simply greeting guests. No one wants to pay Sandals prices and be made to feel as if they are bothering staff because their attitude presents as if they choose to not be bothered. Also, my sister is deathly afraid of cats and they were all over the Barefoot which is a restaurant located on the beach. These cats literally come to the table and climb on the side of the seat. You will also encounter them as well as extremely aggressive birds who will grab food from your table while you’re eating. This is at the Bayside Grill where they hold the breakfast buffet. The staff members I would like to highlight are Asha-Lee, this young lady is amazing. Attentive, engaging and seemingly looking for a way to assist. She works in food service which is a waste, she is clearly concierge material as she seeks to assists guests with matters outside of her area. Andre “Brice” young man, super engaging, beautiful smile and makes you feel welcome. There was not a time he saw us and did not interact. Jhanelle held it down at the bar and even when busy, managed to speak and not allow guests to feel ignored. While on the bar, this is another area that needs to be improved upon. Why does every bar NOT have cold, bottled water but all through the day you see staff pushing cases of water around, they can’t all be going to the rooms, but this again speaks to what I mentioned earlier, don’t restock before you’re out, make the guest wait to then bring them a warm bottle of water in the heat or simply say you’re all out. The same was experienced with certain alcohol, my sister had to wait for someone to run to wherever to grab the alcohol she was drinking. Back to my highlights; Keith (bartender) was charming as well and seems to know exactly what he is doing. He works well with anyone but seems he and Marvin are a great team. Marvin has only been around for 6 months but appears to be doing excellent. I am glad I can cross Sandals off my bucket list and say I’ve been but I am certain this is not a place I will run back too. I will say again many of the staff members are pleasant but for the pricing, the outdated rooms and subpar food, I’ll try another resort. It’s totally ironic, the day before we were leaving, my sister and I were coming out of our room and ran into a guest and his wife who looked at us and randomly stated, “they sell this as a five star but it’s really a three star would you agree?” Again, this was a complete stranger who was apparently just as bothered as I was. This is also a place where you’re not going to get food whenever you like, room service is not good and extremely slow. I attempted to order nachos one evening with no meat. I was very specific in what I wanted. What came to my room was a plate of undressed chips, two small containers of cheese on the side and one container of guacamole. I was told they were out of beans. Are you serious? You pay thousands of dollars to go to a resort that runs out of something as simple as beans. This ties directly into my statements earlier about the breakfast buffet. I was told they ran out of mushrooms so again thousands of dollars and you have to eat canned mushrooms in your omelette. I don’t buy canned mushrooms at home, ever! One final example that totally blew me away. I was at Perla where after 10p, they offer small bites. I placed an order for two veggie tacos and after waiting an extended period of time, a plate with two chicken tacos was placed before me which of course I’m thinking, oh this isn’t my order Sir. Nope, the response I received was we are out of veggie tacos so I brought your chicken. I honestly thought this was a joke and I told the young man you can’t substitute vegetables with meat, I don’t eat meat, which is why I ordered a veggie taco. At that point I was completely done, simply said thank you and walked away. These are just a few of my experiences and although there is no perfect place because we are not perfect people, I strongly believe there are situations that guests should not have to experience. People are not only spending their money, but also using vacation time, both which are extremely valuable! This resort and the Sandals brand has been around for years, but in my opinion, much work is still needed. Read less
