Staff are friendly & professional, resort & grounds are lovely, spacious comfortable room, like the casual nature & all inclusive format. That said, when we’re paying $1,000/night, I expect a little more. Lack of consistency in simple drinks like a gin & tonic & some restaurant food, forgotten food & utensils on room service orders, no fresh towels or room items like coffee replenished today. Food is good but not great. Would we return? Maybe. How does this stack up to other all inclusive vacations or cruises? I’m not sure yet. 6.5-7/10 overall. Read less

*Our first sandals experience* Pros: -Brand New Resort so everything is in tip top shape -Clean rooms -Great Restaurants. Buccan (best dinner, great flavors); Scrimshaw (amazing breakfast, loved the chicken & waffles); Gatsu Gatsu is great but you have to get there right when they open to get food quickly. Sora (great selection and lovely dinner), jerk Shack (nice flavors and spice), Butch Steakhouse (very underwhelming and disappointing, see below) -Many pool options. Our favorite was infinity pool. If you want a chair next to infinity pool make sure to arrive before 6am. -Nicely stocked gym. -Great snorkeling off beach. -many available activities such as: kayaking, water biking, sailing, wake boarding, and more. Cons - our TV and other guests would turn on by itself in the middle of the night. One night i counted it turning itself on 15 times. I reported many times but it was never corrected so I unplugged it -we had great difficulty getting our room mini bar restocked even when we requested it. 3 days our service was missed many times we just wanted water. -while the gym is nice, there is no bathroom in it or near it. They have lockers/rest rooms attached but you have to go to the front to get key access. This is dumb. -Butch, the sought after steakhouse, was a huge letdown. We got 3 entrees and 5 sides and only liked one thing: the lamb chops -they did a bad job promoting daily activities/events. Never really knew what was going on. Cruises display that information on their room TVs, so why can’t sandals? -should offer more opportunities for snorkeling & glass boat tour besides one time a day/ few times a week. With many guests; everyone should have an opportunity. Just a once a day 2pm trip isn’t enough for everyone to fairly enjoy a free sandal excursion. Not to mention many guests had no idea sandals offered free tours until I told them. -two ice cream places but neither stocked sorbet. Huge letdown for those of us who can’t have icecream. -beach is unfortunately small and can be walked from one side to another in 5 mins. -oddly how you would see upper management walk around but they never chose to interact with guests. I frequently saw the GM walk around with his eyes just in the sky. Why not ask people how their stay is going? Thank them for choosing the resort? -even though pirsol bar had numerous bartenders it seemed like only Ken was the one only working. One female never seemed happy to be there and a taller gentleman with glasses spent more time drinking bottled soda and chatting than helping guests. Special staff shoutouts: 1) MP! The man of the hour. Extremely friendly and super helpful. He always went out of his way to greet us and check on things. You can tell his passion for what he does. Great guy! Only individual of upper management who was seen talking to guests table by table. That man cares! 2) Jeffrey at Gatsu Gatsu. So nice, so helpful, very attentive. Another passionate individual who loves what he does. Always went the extra mile to make sure guests were happy. 3) Tanisha at Gatsu Gatsu. She was so sweet and helpful. She truly knew the menu and was a pleasure talking to. 4) Jinell at Buccan. Biggest smile on the whole island! She knew Buccan like the back of her hand. Her positive personality radiates. 5) Joyce. She was nice enough to show us where the gym was and gave us a better understanding of the resort. Very nice and helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and first sandals resort. While this is a new resort, they are learning, I’m just worried what will happen when at full capacity as their service levels definitely need improving. Would we stay at a Sandals again for the value of our money? Probably not. Read less

We have just returned from a 10 Night stay at Sandals St Vincent. It’s our 5th Sandals and takes over at our No1 Slot from Sandals Barbados, it beats that Hands down. We have been lucky enough to travel a lot and stay at some wonderful places around the world, but we was totally blown away by the setting of this Resort, it is truly Awesome. It’s just a Jaw Dropping setting, somebody described it as Paradise in the Amazon Rainforest, I agree but x10.. Now I accept Sandals didn’t create the Mountain Valley that it sits in but there land buyer found a sensational piece of landscape for there newest resort.. From the drive up, to the Rooms, the Pools, the Beach, the Restaurants and All the Staff. Our stay was Magical. We had a Swim up Club Room in the Lady Palm Building. We don’t normally take a Swim up as some resorts they are stuck over the back in the shade, but from the pictures and reviews these all looked pointing towards the Sun. On arrival we was correct, from 12pm to Sunset they are in full sunshine, the Room was Beautiful, Modern & Huge, bigger than some apartments and comes with its own Media Room. The best room by far at any of our previous Sandals, we always stay Butler & Club level. This Resort was New in March this year so everything was in Pristine condition around the resort with some new Sandals ideas. A little sad for me was that Butch wasn’t remembered anywhere on site. Normally at Sandals there is a bit of recognition of the Founder Butch Stewart spread around, a picture or a Rock with he’s favourite sayings.. it would be nice to include. After all no Sandals wouldnt exist without him. A picture of him in every entrance lobby would be a great idea. Well after all the great positives a small Negative for us was the 4 Wild Dogs that live on the resort.. They hang around the Resturants morning and night, it’s not a nice thing for 4 Wild Dogs to be sat by your table at this wonderful 5 Star Resort begging for food. We also witnessed them weeing up a Sunbed on the beach. It really isn’t a good look for Sandals or the Resort. I havnt marked the Resort down for this as Iam sure Sandals will humanly move these Dogs on to a better home before it starts to affect numbers coming here.. Now to all the people who will jump on me for this comment can I leave you with one thought. If you was sitting outside Sora, Skrimshaw or Butches and Cockroaches were running around your feet under the table (which there are NO cockroaches I will add) you would all be up in arms horrified, but it’s fine for 4 Dogs to beg at your table whilst you eating your dinner? I think most would agree it’s not fine. Just one mention to the lady who comments on loud music pumping out from 6am. This is totally not true, the low Ambience music coming out of Mushroom speakers set along the paths leading across the resort. Mostly playing Bob Marley, Don’t worry be Happy and remember we was on the Ground floor under the lady and couldn’t hear a thing. Another Big plus at this Resort was the Sunbed situation, normally you have to be up at 6am for a Bed, Not here, T 11am you can still get one on the beach or the Main Pool everyday. Plus there is other pools that were virtually empty. On to some more Big positives, ALL the staff at St Vincent’s were lovely, polite, helpful & Happy. I want to list some of the Stars that shone on our trip.. Luke & Atu @ Three Jewels Dondre & Tyrephesna @ Lobby Bar Moranda & Barbara @ Sora who cook the best Omelettes. Also a Big Thanks to our Maid Danika, the Maids never get recognised as we don’t see them, our room was impeccable cleaned early everyday and a Turn Down every night. Thanks Danika, You done us Proud.. Now on to My Biggest Shout out to Jonte from the Entertainments Team. This guy really has a great Heart, Personality and What a Voice, they have a couple of good singers in Shakir & Ayseha but anybody who can belt out a superb rendition of Adel or Whitney Acapella at the Pool Side will do for me. (Please Ask him what a singer) Jonte you’re the man. Sandals look after this one he will go far in the future.. Too All the staff at St Vincent’s We wish you all a Happy Christmas you made our stay Fantastic. Paul & Julie Room (3118) Read less

For our 27th anniversary, the wife and I chose Sandals Saint Vincent. We are Saphire level reward members and have to say this was or least favorite trip. First, the good; a very beautiful island and a very beautiful resort. All of the food was amazing and I recommend to eat a Buccan your first night. A very unique dinning experience not offered at other Sandals and it gives you the opportunity to meet other guests. Now, all of the bad; we stayed at one of the over the water bungalows, the top tier Butler Elite room at the resort. If you have ever stayed at a Butler Elite level room at Sandals, you would say that you experience a very friendly, warm, and professional staff. That was our experience at other Sandals resorts, just not this one. We literally had to figure everything out for ourselves. We had no idea that there was a cocktail night and wine tasting event for butler elite members until after we missed it. The only way we found out about the butler cruise was when we asked about some of the other amenities we were missing mentioned by other staff members. We contacted Sandals to ensure snorkeling gear came with this level of room as it does with other resorts and we were told it did, so we did not pack our flippers. Got to the resort and, no flippers. Asked the butler about it and told her the situation and she stated that there was nothing she could do about it. I am positive if I told this to O’Neil at Royal Caribbean, he would have made it happen for us. We had two days of construction in our room were they had to tear out a majority of the bar and replace it. No prior coordination, if they would of let us know, we would of helped them plan around it so we wouldn’t be in the room. After the construction was complete, marble debris was left everywhere. We had to contact house keeping to get it cleaned up because this was also the time when they didn’t clean our room for a day and a half. We relaxed in this area to help us escape the bitting flies (sand fleas) that are in abundance near the sand ( bring bug spray) so it was disappointing that the area was left in disarray for so long. They never picked up our breakfast that was eaten so the room started to smell like day old breakfast. Had to leave all of the trays outside and contact someone to pick them up. Asked other guests in the non butler rooms and they stated that house keeping came three times a day sometimes. We brought our concerns to the manager (Ashanti) and she took some actions to make things right and she was wonderful. After meeting with her I was confronted by the butler manager in my room and he wanted me to explain myself and why I went to the manager. After this encounter, the level of service from the butler staff did not improve but only got worse. At this point we made the decision to stop tipping because it became obvious they did not care about our experience. We are booked with Sandals for a trip in 2025 and 2026. We were supposed to book our 30th anniversary in in 2027 during this trip but lost a little confidence in Sandals. We will see how are trip in 2025 to Saint Lucia work out before booking. Additionally, security was a concern, the beach and surrounding area is public. We witnessed somebody in a kayak take their boat under the over the water bungalows. We thought it was maybe the maintenance crew, not the case, it was somebody from outside the resort fishing. If the same situation occurred at Royal Caribbean, they had staff in place to protect your privacy. If you have ever been to Royal Caribbean, you not it’s not any easy task with the other resorts around but, they still get it done. A couple of shout out to outstanding team members who went above and beyond to make our stay better; Ken, the bartender at Parasol, best bartender on the resort and would give any at Sandals a run for their money. The two young men, Aldon and Everton, we scheduled a snorkeling trip with were phenomenal. If you are lucky enough to have them on your snorkeling trip, you are in good hands. Overall, I believe his resort has the potential to live up to the Sandals name and I believe Ashanti is the one that will make this place great. I would recommend giving it a long time before you travel here or, if you want to try it out sooner, book one of the lower tier rooms. Read less

I have been to a handful of Sandals Resorts and this was easily my favorite. The property is stunning, clean, and easy to navigate. The food was incredible and we had Gatsu Gatsu almost every night. Service by all staff was 10/10 no matter where we were - pool, restaurants, bars, etc. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and would ask us how our stay was going. They were very open to feedback and wanted to make sure we were having the most incredible time. Playmaker, Adrian, was so fun by the pool and ensured everyone was having a great time. At the swim-up bar, Desron, Rohan, and Jurani, were fun and attentive. Even if we were not staying around the pool that day, if we saw them they would always say hello! Every night we went to the Plaza Bar for after dinner drinks and entertainment. Lindelle is the best! He was so attentive and his customer service was top notch. He remembered everyone's drinks and already had them refilled for us right as we were about to ask for another. I have never had that level of service at a Sandals and was so impressed. The rooms were so spacious (we stayed in LX) and had incredible views from our balcony. The only issue we had was the light did not work in the vanity room. We were told someone would come out to fix it but never did. If you are a beach person or want to sit by the double infinity pool on the beach, I would recommend getting down there early as they do fill up quickly. Similar to the main pool area but we were able to obtain chairs around there a little later (around 9am). I would also recommend upgrading to a private transfer. We had Barry on the way to the resort and he was awesome! He showed us different sites in SVD along the way, answered all of our questions, and we learned so much about the island. If you can request a driver, I would highly recommend asking for Barry. I would come back to Sandals St. Vincent's in a heartbeat and looking forward to my next visit! Read less
